Didn't go for my lunchtime walk today, in fact I didn't move from my desk at lunch time...

I wanted to leave a little early so I could get back and go for a cycle in daylight :-) But I didn't end up leaving as early as I had wanted to :-(

I had a phone call mid morning from my son complaining the shower wasn't working, the pump was running but no water was flowing, I guessed it was probably the out let solenoid not opening :-(

I decided no matter what I was going for a cycle ride when I got home before I did ANYTHING else!!!!

When I got in I confirmed the remote PD, the solenoid was fecked, and the motor was on its last legs as well looking at the healthy spray of carbon from the brushes all over the inside cover :-(

I got changed fitted the powerful lights to the bike with the help of some insulation tape as padding then lost myself in my thoughts for a long meandering and VERY hilly 20 miles, interestingly although the Hybrid has more gears than I know what to do with it doesn't make the hills any easier at all!

The Garmin had the ride as 20.02 miles in 1 hour 34 minutes with an average speed of 12.7 mph and 1360 ft of climb, route here...

When I got back home I ate tea, then replaced the shower with a spare one (The mother in law bought a new one then a few months later changed her boiler for a condensing boiler, the power shower was no good for her, so we nabbed it for a spare :-)...A few happy hours later and I had a nice shower :-)

Don't quite know what I would have done if I couldn't fix it :-)
